Originally from Philly, Amy came up influenced by all the great local Jazz & Blues musicians, some legends from the past that were always playing all around town. She formed and Performed w the Vocal Jazz Group 'Smoke Rings' then moved to Miami, forming Almost Blue in 2005. She's been called a Modern day Janis Joplin with her Powerful Voice and cool takes on Early Soul & Blues classics, but you'll hear the jazz influence in her voice from her love of such artists as Billie Holiday and Nina Simone
